ProSiebenSat.1 Reports H1 2025 Financial Results

In a recent financial update, media group ProSiebenSat.1 revealed its results for the first half of 2025. The group's total revenues for H1 2025 amounted to €1,695 million, marking a 4% decrease from the same period last year. This decline was primarily due to a 2% decrease in organic revenues on an annual basis.

In the Entertainment segment, external revenues decreased by 4% to €1,113 million in H1 2025. The decline was more pronounced in Q2, with a 7% decrease to €570 million. However, when adjusted for currency effects and portfolio changes, segment revenues showed a strong growth of 23% in Q2 2025.

The Dating & Video segment, known as ParshipMeet Group, experienced a 27% decrease in external revenues, with Q2 2025 revenues amounting to €71 million.

The group's adjusted EBITDA decreased by 40% to €55 million in Q2 2025, primarily due to the decline in the high-margin but economically sensitive TV advertising business and the deconsolidation of Verivox, an online comparison portal that was sold and had contributed significantly to the segment's revenues in Q2 of the previous year.

Despite the challenges, ProSiebenSat.1 anticipates continued organic growth momentum in the Commerce & Ventures segment. The segment's external revenues remained stable at €199 million in Q2 2025.

There was some positive news for the group as Joyn, the streaming platform, recorded strong growth. AVoD revenues increased by 62% in Q2 2025, and SVoD revenues also saw a significant increase of 28%.

Martin Mildner served as the CFO of ProSiebenSat.1 in the first half of 2025. During this period, ProSiebenSat.1 channels increased their market share among 20-59-year-olds to 21.3% in Q2 2025.

Looking ahead, the group expects Entertainment advertising revenues in the German-speaking region to decline slightly year-on-year. ProSiebenSat.1 aims for group revenues of around €3.85 billion for the financial year 2025, with a variance of plus/minus €150 million.

No new information about Joyn's growth or performance was provided in this update. The company did not release any new statements regarding Joyn's performance or growth in the second half of 2025.

In Q2 2025, ProSiebenSat.1 generated group revenues of €840 million, a 7% decrease from the previous year. Organically, revenues decreased by 3% in Q2 2025. The company did not provide any additional details about the reasons for this decrease.

Overall, ProSiebenSat.1 is facing challenges in certain segments but continues to anticipate growth in others, particularly in the Commerce & Ventures segment and its streaming platform, Joyn. The company is aiming for a strong finish to the year, with a revenue target of €3.85 billion for 2025.
