Arros QD, Quique Dacosta's Rice-Focused Restaurant, Opens in London
Arros QD, a new rice-focused restaurant, opened its doors in London's Fitzrovia on 7 June 2019. The 9,000 sq ft, two-floor space, designed by Lázaro Rosa-Violán, offers seating for 140 guests across four distinct areas, each with a unique atmosphere. The restaurant specializes in rice dishes, with paella taking centre stage.
The brainchild of three Michelin-starred chef Quique Dacosta, Arros QD aims to celebrate the rice culture of Spain's eastern coast. The menu features both traditional and contemporary rice dishes, designed for sharing. The restaurant boasts an impressive open kitchen equipped with an eight-meter flame grill.
The interior, a collaboration between Dacosta and Lázaro Rosa-Violán, showcases a striking black mosaic wall curved wall, courtesy of Panespol, a leading wall decorative panel manufacturer. This is not the first time Panespol has worked with Lázaro Rosa-Violán, as the two have a longstanding professional relationship.
Arros QD, Quique Dacosta's first restaurant outside of Spain, brings a unique dining experience to London. With its focus on rice dishes, innovative design, and a commitment to celebrating culinary heritage, the restaurant promises to be a memorable addition to the city's food scene.
