Aschaffenburg & Miltenberg Unveil New Public Transport Plan for Bavarian Lower Main Region
Aschaffenburg and Miltenberg have revealed a new public transport strategy for the Bavarian Lower Main Region. The 157-page blueprint, crafted over a year and a half, pinpoints current transport challenges and maps out future objectives. The process engaged online public involvement and strives to bolster services and infrastructure.
The Regional Planning Association Bayerischer Untermain and the Government of Lower Franconia, overseeing regional planning, championed the initiative. The strategy, crafted by PTV Transport Consult under AMINA's guidance, targets several key areas. It aims to fortify service offerings, introduce on-demand transport, and upgrade bus stop facilities. Additionally, it seeks to promote alternative bus routes and revise existing route combinations to boost efficiency.
The new public transport plan for the Bayerischer Untermain region, adopted by Aschaffenburg and Miltenberg, charts a course for enhanced services and infrastructure. The exhaustive strategy, involving substantial public input, is poised to reshape public transport in the region.
