Aschaffenburg's Energy Series: Green Buildings to Modern Windows
A series of lectures focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability in buildings will take place in Aschaffenburg from September to November. The sessions, held at the VHS Aschaffenburg, will cover topics ranging from modern windows to heat pumps and roof insulation.
Kicking off the series on September 18 is 'Green Buildings - Improving the Climate at Your Own Home'. This lecture will delve into the latest developments in building and vegetation technology for roof and facade greening, with a focus on the city's funding program for building greening.
Following this, on September 25, attendees can learn about 'Insulating Your Roof Properly'. The session will discuss thermal insulation, focusing on the attic, and present current funding programs in the field of energy-efficient renovation.
On October 23, the lecture 'Heat Pumps Are Not Witchcraft' will demystify heat pumps, covering their selection and planning, and introducing the regional campaign 'Home Advantage: Energy-Efficient Renovation in the Untermain'.
The final lecture on November 20, 'Modern Windows - Energy-Efficient and Secure!', will discuss the energy efficiency and security aspects of modern windows. Speakers for the first and final lectures include Antonia Pfeiffer and Rebecca Landwehr.
All lectures will be held at 7 p.m. in the large hall of the VHS Aschaffenburg and will be streamed simultaneously. The city's energy discussions aim to inform and empower residents to make their buildings more energy-efficient and sustainable.
