Atyrau Oil Refinery Launches Annual Maintenance, Ensuring Safety and Efficiency

The Atyrau Oil Refinery has initiated its annual preventive maintenance work (PMW), with a focus on safety and efficiency. The maintenance planning and scheduling manager is overseeing the operation, which is set to conclude on October 25.

The refinery began the PMW on October 1, with plans to replace over 316 tons of catalysts across various units. Complex tasks, such as reactor repairs and column internal structure updates, are on the agenda. Special attention is being paid to labor, industrial, and fire safety throughout the process, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.

The refinery's tank farm currently holds substantial stocks: 37,000 tons of gasoline, 30,000 tons of diesel fuel, and 6,800 tons of jet fuel. These reserves will be used to fulfill petroleum product shipments during the PMW, ensuring a steady supply of energy.

The PMW is an annual comprehensive procedure following industrial safety regulations and an approved schedule. The phased restart of technological units is scheduled to begin on October 25, ensuring the refinery's smooth operation for the coming months.
