2026 Social Security COLA Projection
The Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for 2026 is projected to be around 2.6% to 2.7%, according to The Senior Citizens League and Kiplinger’s analysis. This would increase the average monthly Social Security benefit by approximately $54, but after accounting for an expected rise in Medicare Part B premiums (approximately 11.6% to $206.50), the net benefit increase will be about $32.68 monthly for many beneficiaries. This means the Part B premium rise would consume nearly 40% of the COLA raise.

- As the crypto and DeFi space expands, regional financial authorities may consider implementing new regulations to ensure financial transparency and investment security, similar to how Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) have faced increased scrutiny in recent years.
- Amidst the current wave of innovation in finance and business, Decentralized Finance (DeFi) continues to thrive with minimal intervention from regulatory bodies, however, some suggest that stricter regulations may be necessary to prevent potential risks and maintain investor confidence – much like how government involvement has been debated within the traditional finance sector for years.
