Automated System Revolution (ASR) Unveils Novel Online Platform for Brokers
Africa Specialty Risks (ASR), a pan-African and Middle East focused (re)insurance group, has recently unveiled an innovative automated underwriting portal named ASR 24-7. This platform, designed to streamline the underwriting process, is now available to authorized brokers.
ASR 24-7 is making significant strides in the insurance industry, offering automated pricing and quoting across both insurance and reinsurance. Initially, the portal accepts Renewable Energy and Directors & Officers Liability risks, with additional Energy lines set to become available in the coming months.
The launch of ASR 24-7 marks the creation of ASR Syndicate 2454, a newly launched first African focused syndicate at Lloyd's. ASR's UK-based entity, ASR Ltd, is also underwriting on behalf of ASR Syndicate 2454 at Lloyd's.
ASR's strategic expansion plans are evident as the group expands its operations to multiple African countries, including the UK, Mauritius, and North Africa. Africa Specialty Risks Mauritius is operating as a Lloyd's service company, allowing it to underwrite business in Mauritius for Syndicate 2454. Similarly, ASR North Africa has received approval to operate as a service company from Lloyd's, enabling it to underwrite in the country on behalf of Syndicate 2454.
The approval of ASR North Africa by Lloyd's signifies a significant step forward in ASR's strategic expansion plans. The portal is expected to broaden ASR's partnerships and contribute to increasing economic development by fulfilling unmet insurance needs across the continent.
Mikir Shah, CEO of ASR, expressed his excitement about the launch, stating that ASR 24-7 offers an immediate and responsive service and a new avenue to access ASR's leading specialty underwriting. The portal provides seamless integration with ASR's underwriting function and offers instant policy quotes, full binding capabilities, and policy management resources.
The latest developments indicate ASR's commitment to expanding its presence in Africa. The group is also planning to expand the platform's capabilities and product offerings to further support brokers, partners, and clients. For the latest updates on ASR 24-7's newest products or growth strategies, it may be necessary to consult ASR's official communications channels such as their website, press releases, or industry announcements.
The ASR 24-7 portal, now accessible to authorized brokers, is expanding its product offerings beyond Renewable Energy and Directors & Officers Liability risks, eventually including additional Energy lines. As ASR Syndicate 2454 underwrites these risks, finance plays a crucial role in the underwriting process.
With ASR North Africa receiving approval to operate as a service company from Lloyd's, reinsurance partnerships are anticipated to broaden, contributing to economic development by meeting unmet insurance needs across the continent.
