Belarus Bans Ritmix RT-010 Phone Over High Lead Content
The Belarusian State Standardization Commission has listed the Ritmix RT-010 phone as dangerous. The device, manufactured by Chinese company Ritmix, contains excessive amounts of hazardous substances.
The list, issued by the State Standardization Committee, includes telephone devices of the Ritmix trade mark produced in China, specifically the RT-010 model. These devices have been found to contain excessive concentrations of hazardous substances in homogeneous materials. In one sample, No2, the lead concentration was a staggering 26.28%, or 262800 mg/kg, far surpassing the norm of no more than 0.1%, or 1000 mg/kg.
The Belarusian authorities have taken action to protect consumers from potentially harmful products. The Ritmix RT-010 phone has been identified as a risk due to its high lead content. Users are advised to exercise caution and stay informed about such safety alerts.
