Bentley Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Engineering Centre for Electrified Future
Bentley Motors has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Engineering Technical Centre in Crewe, Cheshire. Spanning two floors and 13,000 sqm, the centre was officially opened by Chairman and CEO, Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser and Board Member for R&D, Dr. Matthias Rabe. The new centre, part of Bentley's expansive investment programme, brings together virtual and physical properties, fostering collaborative working. It houses departments previously located in the oldest building at the Pyms Lane site, which is being repurposed for BEV assembly by 2027. The centre includes a prototype workshop for future models, materials development, and a software integration department. It is a key building block for the successful delivery of the Beyond100+ strategy, aiming to reinvent Bentley's entire product range for an electrified future. Further expansions on site include the recently opened Design Studio and the upcoming Paint Shop and Integrated Logistics Centre, due to open next year. The new Engineering Technical Centre is a significant step in Bentley Motors' commitment to a sustainable and innovative future. It will play a crucial role in developing and delivering the brand's electrified vehicles, supporting the Beyond100+ strategy.
