Berenberg Promotes Peter Kraus to Lead Equity Portfolio Management

Berenberg, a prominent German bank, has announced a significant promotion within its ranks. Peter Kraus, previously head of small cap equities, has been appointed to lead the equity portfolio management team.

Kraus brings a wealth of experience to his new role. With 25 years in the industry, he has spent the past seven years at Berenberg, serving as head of small cap equities since 2017. Prior to this, he spent a decade at Allianz Global Investors, where he held the position of portfolio manager.

Kraus takes over from Dejan Djukic, who has been leading the equity portfolio management team since 2023. Djukic continues to serve as a board member at Berenberg.

Berenberg's decision to promote Kraus reflects the bank's confidence in his leadership and expertise. With €39 billion in assets under management and net profits of €82 million in 2024, the bank continues to strengthen its equity portfolio management team.
