Bergisch Gladbach & RBW Showcase Economic Power at Expo Real 2025
Bergisch Gladbach and RBW (Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis) are set to showcase their economic prowess and transformative projects at the 27th Expo Real in Munich from October 6 to 8, 2025. The city will discuss the Zanders area project at the fair, while both entities will jointly present the economic location of the Rheinisch-Bergischer district.
Leading the charge is Jonas Geist, Bergisch Gladbach's economic development officer, who will present the transformation projects at the Zanders site and the Rhombus site in Wermelskirchen. He will be joined by District Administrator Stephan Santelmann, RBW Managing Director Volker Suermann, and a Bergisch Gladbach delegation comprising Mayor Frank Stein, his successor Marcel Kreutz, Michelle Merten, Oliver Brügge, and Marie Meußen from the Zanders Development Company.
The Zanders area project aims to create a mixed-use quarter for residential, business, and educational purposes. Both this project and the Rhombus site are qualified within the framework of REGIONALE 2025. The Rhombus site, meanwhile, will be presented as a new quarter offering innovative solutions for commerce, education, and public uses.
RBW's Managing Director Volker Suermann expressed satisfaction with the network appearance at the fair. Partners at the regional joint stand include VR Bank eG Bergisch Gladbach-Leverkusen, Kreissparkasse Cologne, Hahn Group, and Rösrath OSMAB Holding AG.
The 27th Expo Real in Munich provides an opportunity for Bergisch Gladbach and RBW to highlight their economic strengths and ambitious projects. The Zanders area and Rhombus site presentations are expected to attract interest and investment, further boosting the region's development.
