Caerdav Completes First A320 Maintenance for Avolon

Caerdav, a leading UK-based independent MRO, has successfully completed its first maintenance task under a new General Maintenance Agreement with Avolon, a global aircraft leasing company. The Airbus A320, previously operating in Asia, underwent a full airframe maintenance check at Caerdav's state-of-the-art St. Athan facility.

The maintenance process, overseen by Caerdav's skilled technicians, included a range of services. Non-destructive testing ensured the aircraft's integrity, while composite repairs and heat treatments addressed any structural issues. Additionally, the team performed paint restoration and repair, and carried out a scheduled replacement of engine number two following a boroscope inspection. Philip Swanson, Caerdav's business development director, expressed pride in the quality and efficiency of the maintenance work.

Avolon, with its extensive fleet of young, modern, and fuel-efficient aircraft, chose Caerdav for its flexibility and ability to perform a wide range of in-house tasks. This partnership aims to make Caerdav a trusted airframe MRO partner for Avolon and the wider leasing community.

Following the successful maintenance, the Airbus A320 has now entered service with Barcelona-based low-cost carrier, Volotea. Caerdav's capabilities, including non-destructive testing, composite repairs, paint restoration, and heat treatments, have been proven to meet the high standards required by Avolon and its airline customers.
