Celebration Honors the Life and Influence of Bill Little, the Company's Founder

Bill Little, a renowned figure in the professional audio industry, passed away on June 28, 2025, in Columbia, MO. Known for his exceptional leadership and visionary approach, Little's impact on Quam, one of the last American-based commercial loudspeaker manufacturers, will be felt for years to come.

Little began his career with Quam Nichols in 1970, marking the start of a 55-year journey that would transform the company and the industry. Under his guidance, Quam flourished, becoming a respected name in the production of high-quality transducers and audio components used in professional sound systems.

Prior to his tenure at Quam, Little had an extraordinary 27-year tenure with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Foundation, where he served as Chairman (1998-1999) and Chair of the National Chamber Foundation. During this time, he played a pivotal role in the historic transition of four legacy affiliates into what is now the unified U.S. Chamber Foundation, serving as its dedicated Chair until 2021.

In 1988, Little served as Chairman of the Electronic Industries Association, further demonstrating his influence and commitment to the industry. His work ethic was tireless, and he demonstrated extraordinary business acumen, inspiring those around him to reach higher, work harder, and dream bigger.

Little's leadership extended beyond Quam, as he was a champion for the integration community and played a significant role in the growth of the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA). Today, many in the commercial integration world know NSCA as the leading resource and advocate for commercial integrators, a testament to Little's decades of steadfast support and influence.

Bill Little was more than just a business leader; he was a mentor, a trusted friend, and a friend to every employee at Quam. His passion, love, and care for the company and its employees were evident in his actions, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
