In Belarus, there have been no changes announced in the pricing or regulatory landscape of tobacco products as we approach August 2025. The Ministry of Taxes and Levies has published a new price list, but it does not reveal any significant alterations in the cost of popular brands like "Corona Elite" and "Corona Super Slims."

The "Belgospiocheprom" concern has summarised the results of the public discussion that took place in early 2025 on smoking rules and tobacco product sales. However, most of the citizen's ideas presented during the discussion were rejected. Proposals for a complete ban on the production and circulation of nicotine-containing items, liquids, and systems in Belarus were not supported. Ideas for indicating the narcotic nature and deadly danger of consuming these products on the packaging were also dismissed.

Interestingly, the World Health Organization (WHO) has urged countries globally, including Belarus, to raise tobacco and alcohol prices by 50% by 2035 with the goal of improving health outcomes. This suggests a general trend towards increasing tobacco prices, but as of now, no Belarus-specific updated prices or brand-level details have been disclosed.

In terms of the product offerings, "Corona Elite" cigarettes from both Grodno Tobacco Factory and LLC "Tabak-Invest" will remain unchanged at Br4 per pack. Meanwhile, "Corona Super Slims" from Grodno Tobacco Factory will see a slight increase, priced at Br4 per pack after an increase of 35 copecks. The price of "NZ Charm Red" and "NZ Charm Brown" cigarettes from the "Neman" factory will decrease by 5 copecks, costing Br4.95 per pack in August.

It's essential to note that there have been no easing of licensing requirements for wholesale trade, and the list of entities authorized to import, wholesale, and retail these items will not be expanded. The external appearance of cigarette packs and nicotine-containing products will not change either.

For the latest pricing and regulatory changes for tobacco products in Belarus, it would be necessary to consult Belarus governmental or official trade resources or local news outlets directly, as the available data does not include these specifics.

The Belarusian industry, particularly the tobacco industry, may not see significant changes in pricing as August 2025 approaches, following the rejection of proposals to increase prices by 50% by 2035, as suggested by the World Health Organization. With the finance sector, amid the ongoing discussion, it's anticipated that the cost of popular brands like "Corona Elite" and "Corona Super Slims" might remain stable or undergo minor adjustments, such as the slight increase in the price of "Corona Super Slims" from Grodno Tobacco Factory.
