CII & Great Place to Work Launch Workplace Inclusion Index™
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Great Place to Work® India have joined forces to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. They've launched the Workplace Inclusion Index™, an assessment tool that evaluates companies' efforts to foster an inclusive environment.
The index focuses on three key aspects: employee experience, inclusive people policies, and the impact of diversity and inclusion philosophy. It aims to help businesses identify areas for improvement and set ambitious inclusion goals.
CII has already established initiatives like the Indian Women Network (IWN) and India Business and Disability Network (IBDN) to encourage diversity and inclusion practices among its members. The Workplace Inclusion Index™ builds on these efforts, providing a systematic way to assess and enhance workplace inclusion in India.
The index also serves as a platform to recognise and reward organisations that are committed to creating inclusive workplaces. It will culminate in the 'India's Best Workplaces in Diversity & Inclusion' recognition.
By promoting diversity and inclusion, companies can benefit from a wider range of perspectives and insights, making their workforce a valuable asset. The Workplace Inclusion Index™ is set to play a significant role in helping organisations understand their inclusion readiness and strive towards becoming more inclusive.
