Collaborative endeavor announced

In a move aimed at enhancing the administration and support of the Süchteln Housing Cooperative, VAB (Verwaltungs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH) and Bauverein Süchteln have joined forces. This collaborative management model sees VAB providing professional administrative services and strategic support to Bauverein Süchteln.

Under this partnership, VAB handles day-to-day administration, including rent collection, maintenance coordination, and financial management. On the other hand, Bauverein Süchteln focuses on housing development and member engagement, ensuring the cooperative's social mission is upheld. Both partners work closely to optimise operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction.

This model, proven successful in cooperation with the Non-Profit Building Association in Dülken, has led to improved administrative efficiency and cost savings, enhanced tenant services, stronger community involvement, and sustainable growth of affordable housing stock.

Markus Ring, CEO of Bauverein Süchteln, considers this partnership as the best solution for the members, both economically and organisationally. It ensures expert and continuous support while maintaining full independence in the further development of the cooperative. Albert Becker, CEO of VAB, shares this sentiment, feeling traditionally committed to socially oriented housing care and considering housing cooperatives an important element of civil-social housing care in the city.

The implementation and daily support will be handled by the municipal housing company in the future. Members of the Bauverein Süchteln will find the Bauverein with its own office directly at the reception of the VAB customer center on the 1st floor of the town hall. A sign in the strong red of the Bauverein Süchteln points the way to the customer service.

The new partnership was officially sealed in the town hall, and the VAB customer center in the town hall at the town hall square will be the point of contact for the members of the Bauverein Süchteln in the future. The Bauverein can still be reached for all inquiries via the VAB telephone switchboard at 02162/37820 or by email at [email protected].

The previous business office on Vereinsstraße in Süchteln is closed. The supervisory board and management will continue to guide the cooperative and make key decisions. Members were informed about the new regulation at the beginning of June 2025. This model is beneficial for smaller housing companies, as it allows them to save effort and use the existing infrastructure of a larger company.

This collaboration between VAB and Bauverein Süchteln marks a significant step towards streamlined housing cooperative management, ensuring financial viability and high-quality resident support.

The collaboration between VAB and Bauverein Süchteln ensures that VAB handles the day-to-day administration of the cooperative, involving rent collection, maintenance coordination, and financial management. On the other hand, Bauverein Süchteln focuses on housing development, member engagement, and upholding the cooperative's social mission. Both partners aim to optimise operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction, ultimately leading to sustainable growth of affordable housing stock.
