Localiza&Co Expands to Mexico, Revolutionizing Car Rental Industry

Localiza&Co, a leading car rental and mobility company in Latin America, has announced its expansion into Mexico, marking a significant milestone in the company's growth journey.

With a strong international presence already established through franchises in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay, Localiza&Co aims to redefine the car rental industry in Mexico. The company's fleet, which currently operates more than half a million vehicles across South America, will now be expanding into Mexico.

The expansion is planned to provide innovative and efficient mobility solutions for both the B2C and B2B markets. Localiza&Co's CEO in Mexico, Moises Behar, who brings over three decades of experience in the car rental industry, will lead this new venture.

Prior to joining Localiza&Co, Behar was the CEO of Hertz rent-a-car in Mexico (known as Avasa). Under his leadership, Localiza&Co aims to offer accessible, flexible, and efficient car rental services with less paperwork, setting a new standard in the Mexican market.

Localiza&Co's initial operations in Mexico will be supported by offices at airports in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Merida. The company's Mexico headquarters is located in Cancun.

The company's entry into Mexico is a historic moment as it marks the first time Localiza&Co is operating directly outside of Brazil. Localiza&Co commenced operations in Mexico on August 21, 2023.

While details about Localiza&Co's expansion plans beyond Mexico are not yet available, the company has expressed its commitment to expanding throughout the country. A recent photo features the new Localiza&Co team in Mexico, including CEO Moises Behar, ready to embark on this exciting new journey.
