Complete shutdown of Bonn Road from July 14 to August 22
In the coming months, residents and visitors of Hürth, Germany, will experience some changes in local transport due to renovation projects and service adjustments.
Firstly, a significant renovation project is set to take place on Bonnstraße, which will result in a full closure from July 14th to approximately August 22nd, 2025. This closure is due to a renovation project by Straßen.NRW. During this period, line 720 will operate a detour and will not be able to serve the "Vorgebirgsstraße" stop in both directions. Temporary stops will be set up on the Vorgebirgsstraße and "An der Fuhr" during the closure.
Line 714 will also be affected, with the stops "Fischenich (Stadtbahn)", "Fischenich Meschenicher Straße", and "Fischenich Süd" not being served during this period. Line 714 will end at the "Kalscheuren Winterstraße" stop during the closure. However, the Hüpper service will ensure a connection to regional transport during this time, including stops in Fischenich and Kendenich to the "Kalscheuren Bahnhof" stop, even during the summer holidays.
