Construction on Feldbergstrasse in Munich forces adjustments to MVG bus routes

In the upcoming weeks, a significant road construction project on Feldbergstraße in Munich will cause disruptions to several MVG bus services from August 4 to August 22. Here's what passengers need to know about the affected bus lines and rerouting details.

The MVG has reported that bus lines 151 and 152 will be diverted and will not serve the usual stops along Feldbergstraße during the construction period. Passengers are advised to use nearby stops on Feldbergstraße's adjacent streets, with additional temporary stops set up around the affected section. Some trips might be shortened or have adjusted schedules to accommodate the detours. For precise stop changes and timetables, please check the local MVV website or on-site notices.

Bus lines 194 and N79 will also be affected. These lines will be rerouted via Bajuwarenstraße and St.-Augustinus-Straße between the stops Trudering and Himalajastraße. The stops Halligenplatz, Mönchbergstraße, and Simplonstraße will be served in both directions on these lines, while Schmuckerweg, Spertentalstraße, and Batschkastraße will be skipped. In the direction of Riem Bahnhof, the stop Himalajastraße on bus line 194 will be moved to Himalajastraße at the entrance of Feldbergstraße, and the stop Bajuwarenstraße will be moved to the stop of bus line 139 heading towards Messestadt West. In the direction of Neuperlach Süd, the stop Himalajastraße on bus line 195 will be moved to the stop of bus line 194 heading towards Nauestraße.

From approximately 9:00 PM on weekdays and all day on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, bus 195 coming from Michaelibad will turn at the stop Feldbergstraße via the stops Am Hochacker and Markgrafenstraße. Bus 195 will be rerouted between Feldbergstraße and Simplonstraße and will not be able to serve the stops Batschkastraße, Spertentalstraße, Zauberwaldstraße, Markgrafenstraße, Vogesenstraße, and Am Hochacker in both directions.

In the direction of Michaelibad, the stop Himalajastraße on bus line 195 will be moved to Himalajastraße at the entrance of Feldbergstraße. The MVG has not specified which exact bus lines will be rerouted due to the construction on Feldbergstraße. However, all information regarding the bus line reroutes can be found from the Munich Transport Company (MVG).

The road closure on Feldbergstraße will be in effect from approximately 8:00 AM on August 4 until the end of service on August 22. The end of the road closure is scheduled for Friday, August 22. The MVG encourages passengers to plan their trips accordingly and to check the MVV website or on-site notices for the most up-to-date information.

  1. The disruptions to the MVG bus services are not limited to lines 151 and 152; lines 194 and N79 will also be rerouted due to the road construction on Feldbergstraße, affecting their schedules and stopping points.
  2. Additionally, the finance and transportation sectors may experience indirect effects from this road construction project, as changes in the bus services could impact commuters' travel plans and daily routines, potentially affecting productivity and economic activities in industries that rely on these transportation services.
