Construction work has commenced on the paid bridge crossing the Om river.
In early April 2025, SuperOmsk discovered development activities on the site of the future toll bridge over the Omi river, hinting at a potential geological survey underway.
According to SuperOmsk, equipment activity can be spotted on the river's left bank, near 2nd Uchzhnoy Street and 1st Zarechnaya Street (as per photo). Construction-like work, suspiciously similar to geological explorations, are ongoing. You can check out the image featuring a worker's vehicle at the location.
Previously, on March 31, 2025, SuperOmsk revealed that the Omsk Region's Ministry of Transport and Road Management planned to seize land plots for state purposes, presumably for a road and bridge construction project.
It appears that the main land acquisitions will concern plots in the SNT "Gidrotekhника" and zones along Zarechnaya and 2nd Uchzhnoy Streets. The 2nd Uchzhnoy Street is also set for the demolition of a small, multi-storey housing facility. The total land area to be expropriated is approximately 5,000 square meters.
As a reminder, the planned toll bridge over the Omi River in Omsk, connecting Raizdolnaya and 1st Zarechnaya Streets, was scheduled to initiate construction in 2025. This project includes not only the bridge but also the road passing through the 2nd Uchzhnoy district. This new bridge aims to improve Omsk's traffic situation by redirecting a portion of traffic and reducing congestion on other bridges. The bridge is planned to open in 2026.
A contract between the Omsk Region government and OOO "StroiTrast" has already been signed. Previously, Armak Akoopyan, the company's head, spilled beans to SuperOmsk about the project's costs and tolls for traversing the structure. The cost of construction is estimated to be 1.6 billion rubles.
