Construction workers are readying the ground for the Bispinger building project site
The picturesque town of Bispingen is set to welcome a new residential development, with construction work officially commencing this week. The development, located on Am Soltauer Weg, has been in the planning stages for several years, and the newsletter from the town hall has announced that the residential construction can start at the end of 2024.
The development plan, a collaborative effort between Gesellschaft für Entwickeln und Bauen (GEB) and the municipality, aims to meet the needs of Bispingen's current inhabitants and attract new residents. The plan allows for various types of housing, including multi-family houses, with up to 12 multi-family housing units planned on a corner plot.
The move into the new building area is roughly expected in the second half of 2025. However, it's important to note that there is no binding agreement with a specific construction company for the sale of the building plots. Potential builders can get cost estimates from various regional construction companies.
The existing district heating network in the centre of Bispingen is being expanded to accommodate the new development, which necessitates a lead time for the construction. The excavation work for the project has already begun, following a long planning process that started back in 2016.
Interest in the development has been high, with the municipality receiving 329 applications for the 43 building plots. The actual demand for living space is much greater than the housing needs analysis up to 2030 had predicted, with 320 applicants for building plots instead of the forecasted 79 living units.
Subsidies are available for builders, and Sylvia Rose, deputy head of the Planning and Building department at the town hall, sent a letter to potential builders on Tuesday, detailing the available opportunities. Signing up for the town hall's newsletter is free and allows for staying up-to-date with local highlights regarding the development.
The first consultations for the building area Am Soltauer Weg took place at the end of 2016. Since July, the development plan for the area has been legally binding. Despite the progress, there are no specific search results indicating the name of the architect or architectural group responsible for planning and constructing the 43 buildings on Am Soltauer Weg in Bispingen.
