DBD Launches Task Force to Combat Illegal Business Practices
The Department of Business Development (DBD) has launched a new division dedicated to preventing and suppressing illegal business practices. Led by Poonpong Naiyanapakorn, the committee aims to combat law-breaking businesses, including those hiding foreign ownership through Thai nominees. The task force, established in collaboration with relevant agencies, aligns with Commerce Minister Suphajee Suthumpun's crackdown on nominee companies.
The committee's initial meeting mapped out policy frameworks and strategies to tackle illegal business practices. It decided to form four subcommittees to drive prevention and suppression efforts. The DBD's task force will work closely with other agencies to prosecute offenders and ensure fair business practices. This initiative is part of the DBD's broader mission to maintain transparency and integrity in Thailand's business environment.
The DBD's new division, under Poonpong Naiyanapakorn's leadership, signals a strengthened commitment to combating illegal business activities. By working with relevant agencies and establishing subcommittees, the task force is well-positioned to address and suppress violations, contributing to a more stable and fair business landscape in Thailand.
