**Ural Locomotives Celebrates 15th Anniversary and Future Plans**

The Ural Locomotives plant, a major player in Russia's railway industry, recently celebrated its 15th anniversary with a ceremonial event attended by key figures and employees. Mikhail Khodorkovsky, President of the Sinara Group, and Governor Denis Pasler were among the attendees.

The plant, which has a rich history dating back to the Soviet era, has been instrumental in manufacturing freight and passenger locomotives suited for Russia's diverse terrain and climate. Over the past 15 years, Ural Locomotives has produced over 1,800 electric locomotives and 269 high-speed electric trains of various modifications for the country's railway networks.

Andrei Dorovskikh, a machine tool setter at Ural Locomotives, received a letter of thanks from the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation for his labor achievements and many years of work in the field of engineering. Denis Pasler presented honorary certificates and letters of appreciation to the plant's employees in recognition of their high-quality work and achievements.

The event also marked the beginning of new production buildings on the plant's territory, with the production of the new train's carbody already underway. Key components are currently undergoing testing. The company aims to deliver a prototype for testing by 2027, setting the stage for the development of future high-speed trains.

Ural Locomotives is reportedly involved in the development of upcoming high-speed train projects, aligning with Russia’s broader national strategy to enhance rail connectivity and compete globally in high-speed rail technology. The first Ural electric trains are scheduled for release in 2028, with plans to operate between Moscow and St. Petersburg at speeds up to 400 km/h.

In February 2024, President of Russia Vladimir Putin launched the development and organization of production of the first Russian high-speed train, with Ural Locomotives chosen as the project's base. The plant is one of the leading enterprises in Russian railway engineering, ensuring uninterrupted logistics operations from Kuzbass coal mines to northern seaports and the borders with the Republic of Belarus.

Ivan Zernov, Head of the Verkhnyaya Pyshma Urban District, was among the participants. Ivan Kolesnikov, Deputy General Director of JSC Russian Railways, was also present at the event. Denis Pasler addressed the workers, praising their ability to tackle complex tasks and deliver high-quality results.

A photo report on the key milestones in the development of Ural Locomotives over the past years has previously been published by "Obskaya Gazeta". For comprehensive and up-to-date specifics, direct sources from Ural Locomotives or industry reports would be recommended.

The manufacturing industry at Ural Locomotives, a significant player in Russia's railway industry, is currently focusing on the production of new train's carbody, with key components undergoing testing in the finance sector to ensure timely delivery of a prototype for testing by 2027. With the aim of developing future high-speed trains, the transportation sector plays a crucial role in aligning with Russia’s broader national strategy to enhance rail connectivity and compete globally in high-speed rail technology.
