Discussion of Compulsory Labeling for Looseseed Caviar to Occur in Kamchatka
The regional government of Kamchatka Krai has announced a video conference on the mandatory labeling of salmon caviar, scheduled for 6:00 PM on February 13, 2025. The meeting, organised by LLC 'Operator-CRPTO', will take place in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Kamchatka Krai.
Irina Vasilenko, Head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Fisheries of Kamchatka Krai, has announced the meeting. The aim of the conference is to increase awareness among caviar market participants and ensure readiness for the implementation of new requirements that are expected to come into force on April 1, 2025.
The new requirements are part of a broader initiative to regulate the caviar market. They aim to increase transparency and traceability, improve monitoring and control, and enhance the accountability of caviar market participants.
The meeting will discuss work with labeled products in the retail sector, ensuring the removal of labeled products at the time of sale, and the circulation of caviar. Information about the circulation of caviar must be provided to the monitoring information system as per the new requirements. Additionally, the withdrawal of caviar from circulation will also need to be reported to the system.
One of the new requirements is the withdrawal of caviar from circulation using fiscal cash registers. The meeting will also discuss the preparation of producers for the next stages of labeling.
The conference will provide an opportunity for market participants to share their initial results from the 2024 labeling work. The new requirements are expected to have a significant impact on the caviar market, and the meeting aims to ensure that all parties are ready for the changes.
The new requirements apply to all caviar market participants. The meeting on February 13, 2025, is a crucial step towards a more regulated and transparent caviar market.
