In a troubling turn of events, the Police Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main has reported a hit-and-run incident that took place on Homburger Landstraße on September 6, 2025.

The incident, which occurred near house number 382, after the intersection with Berkersheimer Weg, involved a 59-year-old mobility-impaired pedestrian and an unknown driver. The altercation ensued when the pedestrian approached a black SUV, a BMW, parked on the sidewalk to discuss the parking situation.

Reports suggest that the unknown driver, described as a male with short black hair in a "box cut" style, a black beard, an athletic build, and a tattoo on his neck, insulted the pedestrian from the window and told him to get out of the way.

In a shocking turn of events, the engine of the car was started as the pedestrian tried to leave the scene, and he was struck by the car. The driver verbally insulted the pedestrian and then drove away without stopping.

The injured pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The driver's identity remains unknown.

Witnesses with information about the suspect and/or the incident are asked to contact the Frankfurt police at 069 / 755 11400 or any other police station.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are actively seeking the unknown driver.
