Anticipating the announced work stoppage of Rheinbahn buses and trains on Tuesday (28.2.), passengers took proactive measures to adjust their commuting plans.

The Rheinbahn has announced a strike that will commence at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, and end at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1. Passengers should prepare for major restrictions on travel for two days.

During the strike, only S and regional trains are expected to run as usual. However, specific lines will operate under an emergency timetable.

On Wednesday, Line SB51 will run from D-Flughafen Bf to Kaarster Bf, Line 721 from Nordfriedhof to Gothaer Weg, Line 741 from Hilden Süd to Kaldenberger Weg, Line 896 from Flughafen Terminal A/B/C to Messe, Osteingang, Line 834 from Oberkassel, Belsenplatz to Düsseldorf Hbf, Line 785 from D-Heinrich-Heine-Allee to Langenfeld S, Line U76 between "Handelszentrum" and "Meerbusch, Haus Meer", Line M3 from Am Seestern to Holthausen, Line U79 in the Duisburger area and ending at "Duisburg, Kesselsberg", Line 778/779 from Benrath S to Garath S, Line O5 from Erkrath S to Erkrath-Millrath S, Line O6 from Erkrath, Haus Brück to Erkrath-Millrath S, Line 831 from Krefeld, HPZ Uerdingen to Meerbusch, Haus Meer, and Line O19 (TaxiBus with reservation) from Ratingen, Fliedner Krankenhaus to Ratingen-Lintorf, Mörikestraße.

Line 736 will run from Kirchplatz to Ronsdorfer Straße, and Line O14 (TaxiBus with reservation) will run from Ratingen-Breitscheid, Am Kessel to Ratingen-Hoels S. Line 722 will run from Stadthalle to Vennhauser Allee.

The P&R car park at Südpark will not be available on the strike day. The Euro Shop trade fair visitors may be affected as the strike will take place during the fair's duration.

The trade union ver.di and NahVG have called for their employees to participate in the strike, meaning all buses and trains operated by Rheinbahn will be affected.
