Dortmund Customs Uncovers €71K Tax Evasion in E-Cigarette, Snus Case
Customs officials in Dortmund have uncovered a significant tax evasion case involving 'Dadis Solutions GmbH'. The company was found to be trading non-marketable e-cigarettes and snus without paying the required taxes to the IRS.
On February 15, 2023, officers from Dortmund Main Customs Office inspected a wholesaler in Castrop-Rauxel. They discovered a substantial amount of contraband: 21,049 units of non-trafficable disposable e-cigarettes and 2,230 cans of snus (oral tobacco). The e-cigarettes contained 357.302 liters of e-liquid.
The total tax loss amounts to 71,460.40 euros. A tax evasion procedure was initiated on-site.
The company behind this trade, 'Dadis Solutions GmbH', is now under investigation. The seized products and the tax evaded will be recovered, and the company may face further penalties from the IRS.
