Drunk Driver-Expeditor Ordered to Pay 74,000 Rubles After Court Ruling

A driver-expeditor from Omsk, who was terminated from 'Layt' for arriving at work intoxicated, has been ordered to pay a substantial sum by the supreme court. The ruling, which favors 'Layt', comes after the company invested in the employee's training and equipment.

The man, whose name has not been disclosed, was prohibited from leaving the country and had his property checked by bailiffs. This was part of the enforcement of the court's decision, which also included withholding money from his income. Additionally, he was fined 7% of the debt for late payment of the court's ruling.

The total amount he is required to pay is 74,000 rubles. This comes after he lost his job due to alcohol intoxication, which led to his termination from 'Layt'.

The court's decision highlights the importance of employers protecting their investments in employee training and equipment. Meanwhile, the man's inability to leave the country and the withholding of income from his earnings indicate the seriousness of the situation. The case also serves as a reminder of the potential consequences of arriving at work under the influence of alcohol.
