Dubai to Host 11th World Green Economy Summit on October 1-2, 2025
Dubai is set to host the 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) on 1-2 October 2025. The event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This marks Dubai's continued commitment to shaping a sustainable future and solidifying its role in the global green economy.
The 11th WGES, themed 'Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy', will delve into seven key areas: technology and innovation, clean and renewable energy, policies and regulation, finance, climate equity, climate adaptation and resilience, and youth engagement in climate action. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and MD & CEO of DEWA, highlighted the summit's significance in fostering public-private partnerships, expanding green finance, promoting climate equity, empowering youth, and supporting vulnerable communities.
The summit is organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO). It is sponsored by 16 local, regional, and international organisations. Expected attendees include government officials, business leaders, environmental organisations, and international experts.
The 11th WGES in Dubai promises to be a significant event, bringing together key players to discuss and drive progress in the green economy. With its focus on innovation and impact, the summit aims to accelerate the future of sustainability.
