Dwarka's Golf View pipelines to be changed due to complaints and under direction of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA)
In a bid to address persistent leakages, damp walls, and erratic water supply issues in the Golf View Apartments in Dwarka, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched an urgent project to replace the internal water piping network.
The project, estimated to cost ₹1.96 crore, aims to replace the existing multilayer composite (PE-AL-PE) pipes with chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) pipes, which are known for their durability and resistance to corrosion.
Residents of the high-income group (HIG) flats complex in Sector 19B, Dwarka, have long been plagued by problems with the current PE-AL-PE system, with reports of joint failures and leaks. These issues have not only caused inconvenience but have also posed risks of water contamination.
The new CPVC piping system, once installed, is expected to alleviate these problems and ensure a steady and clean water supply for the residents. The work is scheduled to be completed within four months, bringing much-needed relief to the residents.
The tender notice for this project highlights its "prestigious and very urgent" nature. The work will be executed on a turnkey basis, with the contractor responsible for the entire job.
To keep up-to-date with the progress of this project, residents and interested parties can look for recent news articles from reputable sources such as the Hindustan Times and Times of India. These publications have reported on the project and the issues faced by the residents.
Additionally, checking the official website or press releases from the DDA for updates on infrastructure projects is also recommended. Government or local authority websites might provide tender notices or project updates. However, specific details about ongoing projects might not always be available.
Engaging with local community forums or social media groups where residents might be discussing the issue and updating each other on progress is another way to stay informed.
Directly reaching out to local authorities or the DDA's customer service for more detailed information or updates on the project's status is also an option. With these steps, residents and concerned parties can stay informed about the progress of the project and the improvement of their living conditions.
