Eighty years of Confindustria Canavese, advocating for Technological Humanism
The 80th anniversary of Confindustria Canavese, a leading association representing over 350 members and employing over 12,200 people, is being celebrated in style. The thematic events, titled "Canavese al Lavoro" (Canavese at Work), aim to commemorate the region's rich industrial and labour history.
The festivities, which include a public assembly at Officine H on October 27th, are designed to make the Canavese a reference point for the convergence of technological and social domains. The chosen phrase for the initiative is "Past and future together in an inseparable intertwining."
The logo, a symbol of the deepest industrial identity of the territory, represents the harmonious blend of mechanics and ICT. This logo, along with a celebratory one, serves to facilitate recognition of the events.
A magazine titled "The Wonder of the Possible" has been published, dedicated to Confindustria Canavese and industrial development. The main focus of the initiatives is to discuss the future, with the goal of developing a model for the Canavese that leverages its historical DNA to become a reference point for the convergence of technological and social knowledge.
Collaborations include partnerships with historical archives and associations, particularly the Archivio Storico Olivetti, which provides access to significant imagery and narratives tied to the industrial history of the area. This collaboration enriches the anniversary by adding depth to the exhibition and engaging the community with a visual and documentary heritage.
Confindustria Canavese President Paolo Conta explains that the series of initiatives aim to remember past achievements, faced challenges, and reached objectives. The initiatives are intended to emphasize the historical DNA of the Canavese territory, with the goal of positioning the region as a center of competence for sustainable development in human technologies.
The "La Grande Invasione" Ivrea Book Festival and events promoted by partner companies and local associations are also part of the celebratory events. These initiatives reflect the identity of a territory shaped by a unique experience like that linked to the development of Olivetti.
The Spille d'Oro Olivetti association, which rewards virtuous companies in their economic and social growth path, adds to the celebration of Confindustria Canavese's 80 years of existence. The association, founded in 1945 by Adriano Olivetti and a dozen other entrepreneurs, continues to honour the legacy of the region's industrial pioneers.
