Electrified Vauxhall accelerates into the future, unveiling the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo electric concept car

Vauxhall has made a splash in the automotive world with the unveiling of their latest concept car, the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo. This electric vehicle (EV) is a testament to Vauxhall's commitment to innovation and sustainability.

The interior of the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is designed for a 'pure experience', with a focus on simplicity and reducing cognitive load. The design philosophy is centred around creating an environment that enhances the driving experience while minimising distractions.

The design of the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo also includes a focus on sustainability. Black elements, such as the rear diffuser, are made of a new flax-derived material with better sustainability. This eco-friendly choice is part of Vauxhall's ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental impact.

However, it's important to note that the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is a concept car only and is not expected to go into production. Instead, it will be available only via a games console. Despite not being a drivable model, the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo offers an exciting glimpse into Vauxhall's future designs.

The Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is an 'extreme version' of the brand, boasting a projected top speed of 199mph and a 0-60 time of 2 seconds. This impressive performance is thanks to a combined power of 800hp delivered by twin electric motors.

The exterior of the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo features a chunky design with a hint of Lancia Delta and a dash of Tonka Toy. The bodywork is considered a good indication of where Vauxhall is taking its surfacing. The vehicle also features elaborate active aerodynamics and a bold color scheme.

One unique feature of the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is a little red boost button labeled with a spaceship. This button provides a four-second power boost, adding an extra thrill to the driving experience.

The design of the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo relies on intersecting flat plains and the "New Compass" lighting direction. This modern aesthetic, combined with the vehicle's impressive performance, makes the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo a standout in the world of concept cars.

The Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo was developed by Vauxhall in collaboration with the Gran Turismo Vision Gran Turismo program. This partnership has resulted in a concept car that pushes the boundaries of what is possible in electric vehicle design.

In other news, Vauxhall has also re-launched its GSE performance sub-brand. The first car to carry the GSE badge will be the Mokka GSE. Small, swift EVs are making a comeback, and Vauxhall's focus on this segment could potentially position the brand well to reclaim its crown.

For more information about the Mokka GSE, visit Vauxhall.co.uk or follow Vauxhall on social media @Vauxhall. As for the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, while it may not be hitting the roads anytime soon, it's an exciting glimpse into Vauxhall's electric future.
