Enhances 2026 Aircraft Series from Lucid with Extended Flying Distance and Enhanced Charging Capability

Silicon Valley-based electric vehicle maker, Lucid Motors, has announced updates to its 2026 Lucid Air lineup, bringing improvements in battery energy density, new features, and an exciting expansion into Tesla's Supercharger network.

Starting July 31, 2025, all Lucid Air models, regardless of model year, will be able to access Tesla's Supercharger network across North America. To facilitate this, Lucid is offering a specific DC NACS to CCS1 adapter for $220. This adapter enables charging at compatible Tesla Superchargers (V3 and above), but it should be noted that the charging speed for Lucid Air models will be up to 50 kW, significantly lower than Tesla vehicles’ peak rates, due to the difference between Lucid's 924-volt system and Tesla's 400-volt Superchargers.

Owners can initiate charging through the Lucid app and pay via stored credit card in the Lucid Wallet. This solution provides Lucid Air owners additional charging options, especially convenient for road trips or locations near Supercharger stations, despite the slower charging rate compared to Tesla vehicles.

The 2026 Lucid Air lineup also sees improvements in battery energy density, resulting in an EPA-estimated range of 431 miles for the Air Touring model. The Air Grand Touring, the range leader, continues to deliver up to 512 miles on a single charge.

In terms of new features, DreamDrive Premium driver assistance is now standard for the Air Pure. Lucid is rolling out a new air conditioning compressor adapted from the Lucid Gravity, offering greater cooling performance and a quieter cabin. The Comfort and Convenience Package for the Air Pure now includes a rear center console display and storage bin. The Air Grand Touring is now equipped with 20-way power-adjustable front seats, including heating, ventilation, memory, massaging functions, and power-adjustable bolsters.

The 2026 Air lineup introduces new 19-inch Aeronaut wheels, offering a fresh visual alternative while preserving aerodynamic efficiency. A variety of wheel choices are available for different models, including 19-inch Aero Range, 19-inch Aeronaut, and optional 20-inch Aero Lite wheels with performance Michelin tires.

The Lucid Air Pure features the Mojave PurLuxe interior with a choice between standard 12-way heated seats or optional 20-way heated, ventilated, and massaging seats. The mid-range Lucid Air Touring starts at $79,900 in the U.S. and $112,800 in Canada, while the Lucid Air Pure starts at $70,900 in the U.S. and $99,900 in Canada.

Lucid's expansion into Tesla's Supercharger infrastructure is part of the automaker's broader strategy to remain competitive in an increasingly crowded EV market. The company is also rolling out a major upgrade for its DreamDrive Pro suite of advanced driver assistance systems, including Hands-Free Drive Assist and Hands-Free Lane Change Assist.
