Erding Restaurant Owner Fined, Arrested for Illegal Asian Worker Employment
In Erding, a restaurant owner has been fined and arrested for illegally employing Asian nationals. The case, which began in April 2023, has resulted in a final judgment.
In April, the Main Customs Office Landshut discovered two Asian workers without valid residence permits at an Asian restaurant in Erding. The workers' permits allowed only temporary stays, not employment. The names of the workers have not been made public.
The restaurant owner was later arrested in August for aiding and abetting illegal residence. During a follow-up inspection, three more Asian nationals were found working illegally. The owner was fined 12,000 euros and the judgment is now final.
The illegal employment of the Asian nationals at the Erding restaurant has been addressed with a final judgment against the owner. The arrest and fine serve as a reminder of the importance of adhering to German immigration laws.
