Euskirchen Energie Expands District Heating in Fischenich, Hürth; Temporary Traffic Disruptions Expected
Euskirchen Energie GmbH is expanding the district heating network in Fischenich, Hürth. This project will cause temporary traffic disruptions until October 3rd, with local traffic and pedestrians/cyclists unaffected.
During construction, Rebenfeld street can only be accessed via Platzstraße. The city's utilities apologize for any inconvenience. A detour will be set up for through traffic. The affected area is Am Druvendriesch, from Gennerstraße access road to house number 8a. The closure is necessary due to extensive work and ground obstacles, aiming to connect more households to the eco-friendly district heating network.
The expansion project is expected to enhance the city's future energy supply by increasing connections to the district heating network. Local traffic and pedestrians/cyclists will remain unimpaired during the construction phase.
