EVO Names Dr. Catharina Friedrich as New CTO
Offenbach's Energy Supply AG (EVO) has appointed a new Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Catharina Friedrich, a 48-year-old graduate mathematician, will take over from Günther Weiß, who is retiring after extending his contract. Friedrich brings a wealth of experience in the energy industry and a clear strategic vision, as praised by EVO's supervisory board.
Friedrich's journey to this role has been marked by significant achievements. She began her career at the Institute for Electrical Energy Supply and High Voltage Technology at TU Dresden, where she earned her doctorate. She then moved into the industry, holding various leadership positions at companies such as Westnetz GmbH and Netzgesellschaft Südwestfalen.
Before joining digikoo GmbH as CEO in 2024, Friedrich served as a board member responsible for technology at EVO AG. Her expertise and strategic vision have been recognised and praised by the supervisory board of EVO. Friedrich's appointment is set to bring a fresh perspective to EVO's technological advancements.
Dr. Catharina Friedrich will assume her new role at EVO on April 1, 2026. Her extensive experience in the energy sector and proven leadership skills make her an ideal candidate to drive EVO's technological innovations forward. The company looks forward to her contributions in shaping its future.
