Excavation Prior to Road Construction Scheduled in Sunny, Krasnoyarsk
In the bustling town of Krasnoayarsk, they're putting up an auction for archaeological excavations before a new road construction project kicks off towards Solnechniy. The proposed road will stretch from the intersection of Aviator Street and the Northern Highway.
The initial contract price for the excavations stands at 17.7 million rubles. The selected contractor will be announced on the 28th of March, with all work expected to be completed by early July.
Excavations before construction are standard practice when work is planned on a site with known archaeological heritage. In this case, the site falls within the boundaries of the Cultural Heritage Site "Krasnoayarsk. The Badalyk-1 Settlement."
The city's administration has hinted that an auction for the construction of the very road itself will be announced soon.
"We'll need to wrap up archaeology before July. However, this won't hold up construction. We'll announce an auction for the road construction contract soon. The road will feature drainage systems, sidewalks, and lighting," such a tease came from the city's mayor, Vladislav Loginov, on his social media platforms.
The new road will connect Solnechniy with the residential areas "Solonets-2" and the Northern Highway, helping redistribute traffic and relieve the sole current road in Solnechniy – the Eniseisky Trakt. The route will run from Gribolevskaya Street to Solokovskaya Street, through Afanasiy Tavakova Street to the entrance onto the Northern Highway.
Construction of the road is planned to coincide with the 400th anniversary of Krasnoayarsk – an ambitious target, considering deadline extensions to the 2028 anniversary year. Recently, during a field trip to Solnechniy, regional head Michael Kotyukov commented that the road should be ready in 2027.

Enrichment insights: For the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend checking local news sources or official government announcements related to infrastructure projects in the Krasnoayarsk region. If you are looking for contract details, you might want to explore government procurement websites or contact local authorities responsible for infrastructure development. Archaeological works are often part of such projects, but specific details would depend on the nature of the construction and any relevant archaeological findings in the area.
The upcoming auction for the road construction contract in Krasnoayarsk, as hinted by the city's mayor, will include the building of a new road connecting Solnechniy, "Solonets-2", and the Northern Highway. In the financial sector, it's anticipated that the transportation industry will see significant investments in this project, considering the proposed road's potential to redistribute traffic and improve the infrastructure of this region.
