Erin C. Mason, an accomplished associate attorney, has recently joined Shumaker's Litigation & Disputes Service Line. With a broad legal background and a detail-oriented approach, Mason brings a wealth of experience to the firm, focusing on general litigation matters such as trust, business contract, real property, and insurance disputes.
Mason's extensive litigation and trial experience spans various areas, including class action defense, pharmaceuticals, toxic tort, family law, and insurance cases. This diverse background will undoubtedly help Shumaker deliver excellent outcomes for its clients.
Meghan Serrano, Partner and Litigation & Disputes National Service Line Leader at Shumaker, is thrilled about Mason's addition to the team. Serrano considers Mason a valuable asset, noting her ability to assist clients through every stage of the dispute resolution process.
The addition of Mason reinforces Shumaker's commitment to strategic, client-focused advocacy in dispute resolution. In fact, the firm's Litigation & Disputes team has grown significantly this year, welcoming 10 new attorneys and five paralegals in the first half alone.
Shumaker's team of 300+ attorneys and advisors work together to help move businesses forward with confidence. The firm is proud to have Mason as part of their team and looks forward to the impact she will make within the firm and the community.
Mason's community involvement continues even alongside her legal practice. In Florida, she is actively involved in the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance, Harbor58, and the Lakewood Ranch Girls Who Walk club. Her community service work extends to supporting youth aging out of foster care through Harbor58.
In Washington, D.C., Mason's pro bono work has been recognized with the Highest Honors on the 2024 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll, having contributed more than 100 pro bono hours. This commitment to giving back is a testament to Mason's dedication to serving her community.
Erin joins the firm as an associate and is now based in Florida. Shumaker is excited about the future and the positive contributions Mason will make to the firm and its clients.
Erin C. Mason, with her experience in family law, will hopefully contribute valuable insights to Shumaker's diverse litigation cases. In light of her extensive background in finance and business, Mason's expertise could potentially be leveraged to address complex commercial disputes within the firm.
