First Business Lounge Opens in Urals Federal District at Sverdlovsk Station
A new business lounge has opened at Sverdlovsk Railway Station in Yekaterinburg, marking the first watch project in the Urals Federal District. This 24/7 facility offers comfort and convenience to travellers, including World War II veterans and their companions, who can use it for just 1 ruble.
The lounge, the largest in the Sverdlovsk Railway, spans the first floor of the eastern wing of the station. It provides a range of amenities, such as comfortable furniture, a massage chair, TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi, a play area for children, a cloakroom, and sanitary facilities with showers. Travellers can enjoy a variety of meals served buffet-style, including traditional hot dishes, snacks, desserts, drinks, and Ural regional cuisine.
The project was coordinated by the head of the Sverdlovsk Regional Directorate of Stations, whose name remains unknown as of now. This initiative follows similar business lounges already operating at 14 major Russian railway stations.
