FKS Inspection Nets 7 Criminal Cases, 20 Follow-Up Investigations
The Financial Control of Black Work of the Customs (FKS) recently conducted a nationwide inspection targeting illegal employment and black work. The operation, which took place on Monday, June 16, 2025, involved around 2,800 customs officers from various main customs offices.
The inspections, carried out by the FKS, focused on several key areas. They checked if employers had correctly registered their employees for social security, if any social benefits were being fraudulently obtained, and if foreign employees possessed the necessary work permits or residence titles. Additionally, the inspections ensured that minimum wages were being paid, with branch-specific minimum wages applying to certain trades such as roofing, electrical, and scaffolding.
The operation resulted in seven criminal proceedings being initiated on-site for violations of the Residence Act. These included cases of missing or incorrect work permits and residence permits. Furthermore, extensive follow-up investigations are currently underway in 20 cases, with data collected on-site being compared with companies' payroll and financial accounting.
The FKS, which regularly conducts such inspections based on a risk-oriented approach, aims to combat black work and illegal employment. Inquiries regarding this operation can be directed to the Main Customs Office Landshut's press spokesperson, who can be reached via phone at 0871-806-1031 or email at [email protected]. Additionally, the Zollinfotag - Career event of the Main Customs Office Landshut will take place on September 20, 2025, at the service point Plattling.
