Former Dagestan Health Minister Tatiana Beliaeva Arrested on Corruption Charges
Tatiana Beliaeva, previously serving as the Minister of Health in Dagestan, has been apprehended in the Stavropol region. The former minister faces allegations of corruption-related offenses connected to her tenure at the regional health ministry.
Beliaeva, who led the Dagestani Ministry of Health from 2018 to 2021, was recently transferred from the Stavropol region to her home region. Following her resignation, she held an advisory position in a local medical institution. The anti-corruption agency has now accused her of potential corruption crimes stemming from her time as the health minister.
Beliaeva's detention comes after she stepped down from her ministerial post. Authorities suspect her of corruption-linked offenses during her time heading the Dagestani Ministry of Health. Further details about the allegations are yet to be revealed.
