Giessen's Digital Future Boosted by TNG's Fiber Optic Network Expansion
Giessen is taking a significant step towards its digital future with TNG Stadtnetz GmbH's private initiative to expand its high-performance fiber optic network. Around 14,000 households in the city now have the opportunity to connect to the advanced network.
The expansion, which has already begun in several districts including Lützellinden, Allendorf, Kleinlinden, Weiskirchen, Rödgen, and Petersweiher, is a joint effort between TNG and the city of Giessen. The two parties have signed a declaration of intent to work closely together to accelerate the progress of the fiber optic expansion.
TNG's website, tng.de/giesse, provides residents with up-to-date information about the expansion, TNG's tariffs, upcoming info events, and construction updates. Mayor Frank-Tilo Becher has welcomed the expansion, seeing it as a crucial step towards Giessen's future-proof digital infrastructure. TNG Sales Manager Kilian Ortwein anticipates that the close cooperation with the city will speed up the expansion process.
TNG plans to build a future-proof fiber optic network that reaches every residential unit in Giessen. With around 14,000 households already able to connect, the city is well on its way to a more connected, digital future.
