Global conglomerate Bomag affiliates with the United Nations Global Compact
In a significant move towards sustainable development, Bomag, a leading company in the sectors of energy, healthcare, and banking, has joined the UN Global Compact. This global initiative, launched in the year 2000, is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, with over 20,000 participating companies spread across more than 160 countries.
The UN Global Compact is a call for companies to make their business strategies consistent with ten universally recognized principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption. Bomag's decision to join this initiative is a consistent step in line with the company's understanding of itself as a responsible business.
Dr. Ingo Ettischer, CEO of the Bomag Group, stated, "Bomag's decision to join the UN Global Compact is a consistent step in line with the company's understanding of itself as a responsible business." Bomag views sustainability as a binding corporate responsibility towards employees, partners, customers, and future generations.
The ten principles of the UN Global Compact are actively integrated into the strategies and processes of Bomag. The company is committed to operational excellence, digitalization, AI integration, and supporting sustainable transformations across sectors.
Bomag, like many other participants in the UN Global Compact, aims to consistently expand its commitment to the principles of the UN Global Compact. Companies participating in the UN Global Compact are expected to take measures to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Bomag does not view sustainability as an option, but as a binding corporate responsibility. The company's participation in the UN Global Compact underscores its commitment to making a positive impact on society and the environment.
UNITY Consulting & Innovation also recently joined the UN Global Compact, committing to the principles and sustainability goals of the initiative. The UN Global Compact provides a platform for companies to collaborate and share best practices, driving progress towards a more sustainable and equitable world.
