Goodtech Wins NOK 45M Equinor Contract for Offshore Wind Farm Control Rooms
Norwegian tech company Goodtech has secured a significant contract worth approximately NOK 45 million (EUR 3.9 million). The deal, awarded by Equinor, involves supplying and managing the control room equipment for the Bałtyk 2 and 3 offshore wind farms in Poland.
Goodtech will provide a comprehensive range of equipment for the operation centre's control room. This includes operator workstations, large screen display solutions, KVM technology, and server room equipment. The project is set to begin in November 2025 and is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2027.
The contract covers the delivery of a Central Control Room solution. This includes a common SCADA system, telecommunications equipment, and solutions designed to ensure safe and efficient operations. However, it is currently unclear who will manage the operations centre before construction starts.
Goodtech's contract with Equinor demonstrates the company's expertise in providing advanced control room solutions for offshore wind farms. The project is valued at approximately NOK 45 million and is expected to be completed within a two-year period.
