Gorkovsky Railway Reports 0.2% Passenger Turnover Growth in 2025
Gorkovsky Railway, led by the Gorkovsky Railway Directorate, has reported a steady increase in passenger turnover for the first nine months of 2025. Despite a slight dip in September, the overall figures show growth in both long-distance and suburban train traffic.
From January to September, the passenger turnover reached approximately 8.4 billion pass-km, marking a 0.2% increase. This includes around 7.3 billion pass-km for long-distance trains and 1.1 billion pass-km in suburban train traffic, with a 1.7% rise. The number of passengers totalled over 7.1 million for long-distance trains and 23.5 million in suburban train traffic, showing increases of 0.1% and 0.7% respectively.
In summary, despite a slight downturn in September, Gorkovsky Railway has shown overall growth in passenger turnover and numbers for the first nine months of 2025. The Gorkovsky Railway Directorate will continue to monitor these trends and work towards improving train services.
