GSM Outdoors and Winchester Safes Pledge Major Support for Texas Hill Country Flood Relief

GSM Outdoors and Winchester Safes have stepped up to support flood relief efforts in Texas Hill Country. Following the devastating flash floods over the July 4th weekend, which claimed 135 lives and left three missing, these companies have pledged significant contributions to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.

GSM Outdoors, the parent company of brands like Walker's, Cold Steel, and Stealth Cam, initiated a donation drive on July 9. Customers could opt to contribute to the relief fund at checkout, with the company matching each dollar donated. This generous offer ran until the end of July, ensuring maximum support for the affected communities.

Winchester Safes, known for its secure storage solutions, also joined the cause. It committed 100 percent of its online sales profits in July to the flood relief fund. This substantial contribution highlights the company's commitment to aiding recovery efforts.

The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country is overseeing the distribution of these funds. It will direct the money to nonprofit organizations, first responder agencies, and local governments involved in response, relief, and recovery efforts. While the full extent of the devastation is still being assessed, these contributions will play a crucial role in supporting those affected.

GSM Outdoors and Winchester Safes have demonstrated their commitment to helping Texas Hill Country recover from the recent floods. Their contributions, along with other donations from the Central Texas community, will provide much-needed support to those affected by this tragedy. The road to recovery is long, but these efforts ensure that help is on the way.
