Hanoi Businesses Optimistic for Q4 Despite Challenges

Industrial enterprises in Hanoi show a mix of optimism and caution for the fourth quarter, according to the Hanoi Statistical Office. A significant portion of businesses report stable or improving conditions, while others anticipate challenges in their business.

Over 40% of businesses expect their production and business situation to improve in the fourth quarter, with 40.8% predicting better conditions compared to the third quarter. Meanwhile, 17.5% forecast more difficulties. Notably, foreign direct investment (FDI) businesses are particularly optimistic, with 83.2% expecting better or stable conditions in their business.

Looking at the current situation, 33.6% of businesses evaluate their production and business situation as better compared to the second quarter. Additionally, 45% assess their situation as stable. However, 22.2% report facing difficulties in their business.

Despite some businesses anticipating challenges, the overall outlook for the fourth quarter remains positive, with a majority expecting stability or improvement in their business. The number of newly established firms is also projected to rise by 2% year-on-year, indicating a growing entrepreneurial spirit in Hanoi.
