Hellenic Cables Wins Major Contract for UK's East Anglia Two Offshore Wind Farm

Hellenic Cables has secured a significant contract for the East Anglia Two offshore wind farm in the UK. The Greek company will supply approximately 165 kilometres of 66 kV inter-array cables and associated accessories, following a previous contract for the East Anglia Three project.

The East Anglia Two wind farm, situated in the southern North Sea, was chosen in the UK government's latest Contract for Difference (CfD) Allocation Round 6 (AR6). Hellenic Cables will commence production at its vertically integrated and submarine cable plant in Corinth, Greece, starting in 2026, with final deliveries expected within the first half of 2027.

Meanwhile, the 960 MW project will feature 64 Siemens Gamesa SG 14-236 DD wind turbines placed on monopiles supplied by Sif. Installation will be carried out by Cadeler. Kostas Savvakis, General Manager at Hellenic Cables, expressed pleasure in continuing collaboration with Seaway7 and ScottishPower Renewables for the East Anglia offshore hub.

Hellenic Cables' scope of work includes engineering, design, manufacturing, testing, and supply of the cables, as well as the supply of associated accessories. The company's involvement in the East Anglia Two project further solidifies its position in the UK's offshore wind industry.
