Megan Roberts, who has been a structured finance partner at Paul Hastings since mid-2025, is noted for her work advising issuers, underwriters, and investors on asset-backed finance transactions. Her notable transactions include representing major clients like Barclays, Blackstone, Carlyle, and KKR in significant portfolio acquisitions.
Roberts' expertise spans a broad range of asset classes, including student loans, unsecured consumer loans, auto loans and leases, trade receivables, equipment leases, and data centers. Her client roster includes marquee financial institutions and asset managers, such as Bracebridge, Cadma Capital Partners, OneMain Finance Corporation, and the aforementioned clients.
Roberts joins Paul Hastings from Sidley Austin, aiming to enhance the firm’s top-ranked structured finance platform, particularly in the asset-backed finance and CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligation) sectors. The firm believes that Roberts' addition is a premier talent that will help them continue to take more market share.
Notably, Paul Hastings' Asset-Backed Finance practice currently holds the number one position in both the U.S. and the U.K. The firm has achieved strategic success in expanding market share with leading asset manager and investment bank clients. Recently, Paul Hastings' structured credit practice was recognized as a top Global and U.S. CLO Arranger Counsel by Creditflux for 2024.
