Honors CONSAR Profuturo for Exceptional Financial Education Achievements in the 2024 Census
ProFuturo Recognized for Outstanding Financial Education Initiatives
Mexico City, Mexico - ProFuturo, a leading Administrador de Fondos deRetiro (Afore), has been commended by the National Commission for the Retirement Savings System (CONSAR) for excelling in financial and pension education for a third consecutive year. This recognition underscores ProFuturo's commitment to promoting financial well-being through inventive, useful, and accessible educational content.
In the 2024 Financial and Pension Education Census, CONSAR assesses the non-promotional actions, materials, and digital tools developed by Afores to foster financial education. In this edition, ProFuturo presented 305 educational actions, which were highly regarded for their quality, reach, and relevance to diverse audiences. The organization has focused on designing educational experiences tailored to the real needs of people, utilizing various formats such as digital platforms, videos, interactive microsites, podcasts, and face-to-face workshops.
Notable initiatives include the evolution of Profuturo Asesora, its digital platform segmented by age, which now includes a blog and video channel (Profutips) and has reached over 3.2 million contacts since 2021. Additionally, tools such as the quinquennial change microsite, which explains the transfer between SIEFORE generations, and the account statement interpretation microsite, which enhances the user experience with videos, infographics, and FAQ sections, were developed.
During 2024, ProFuturo participated in major national financial education events, such as Global Money Week and the National Financial Education Week, offering workshops for children, interactive booths, and specialized talks on savings, compound interest, and the Afore system. The organization also strengthened its collaboration with the MIDE, Interactive Museum of Economy, reinforcing its educational commitment.
ProFuturo boasts comprehensive coverage in terms of segmentation and cross-sectional perspectives, addressing the needs of children, youth, young adults, and older adults. Each segment requires an adapted educational strategy due to its unique characteristics and knowledge levels. Moreover, actions are implemented with a gender perspective, reflecting ProFuturo's commitment to equity in addressing financial and pension matters affecting both women and men. This holistic approach generates a greater impact, fostering financial inclusion throughout one's life.
In addition, ProFuturo addressed the three primary topics evaluated by CONSAR: administration and personal/family finances, actions to ensure a good retirement, and procedures for the retirement savings system. Within these categories, 31 subtopics were addressed, including the five new ones added by CONSAR in this edition: contribution density, replacement rate, week reimbursement, Afore Account for Children, and independent workers.
With these results, ProFuturo reaffirms its leadership as an Afore dedicated to financial education, with a visionary approach and concrete actions to contribute to a more knowledgeable and prosperous future for all.
